What is HSE testing?

High school equivalency (HSE) exams are designed for out-of-school youth and adults without a high school diploma. HSE exams have eligibility requirements. Like taking a driving test, you must meet these eligibility requirements before you can test.

New Jersey HiSET and TASC cost The paper-delivered HiSET exam is not available in New Jersey. You have two retests for each subject but the $10 test center fee is due at all times you take a retest. The five TASC subtests cost $21.20 each in New Jersey. So the entire TASC exam will cost you $106.

Is HSE same as GED?

The HSED is a good option for students who haven’t had the chance to earn a traditional high school diploma. Though both credentials are technically the same, a GED only indicates that you’ve passed a test, whereas an HSED indicates that you’ve passed a test and completed some other coursework.

How long is the HSE exam?

The HiSET® exam is about seven hours from start to finish. These seven hours are broken out into five subtests that you can take on different days over a period of time.

How long is the HSE program?

The Advance and Earn Pre HSE Program consists of two separate components that focus on building literacy and math skills as well as Career Awareness Training. The cohort takes place over a 20-week cycle with ample time to improve our participants’ reading and math skills.
